It really depends on individual. Some attorneys and doctors with only a few years of experience can earn more than one million. So it is sth about your luck, hard working and networking.

最近几年是不错，不过有朋友工作时间长的说IT boom的那几年他们反而不太好。不好的时候是什么样子的呢？

总觉得天下没有免费的午餐，身边不少不同领域background, 学校也中等的master进了JS等公司，有的做FA, 有的做quant，现在收入似乎也可以。入门门槛也不算高，有个phd进去更不太难了。在网上听别人说什么几年几年之后，几十几十万，甚至百万都进了口袋。唉，想想其他的专业，就算医生，lawyer这些professional, 读那么多年花那么多钱，最后也没人家挣的多，还累的和什么似的。

不过我自己倒是踏实一人，最讨厌跟风。所以看着周围的人是个人都想转fianance, 想想这也不太符合客观规律，就有了疑惑了。

By the way, could you tell the starting salary for a fresh master and a fresh phd without any working experiences?

this year, top law firms provide fresh JD graduates starting salary from $148,000. Of course, you need to be top 5% of your class to get into big law firm.
