我不怎么擅长small talk,不过还挺要求进步的。
我们cfo突然来了助理，坐在我不远的地方。想跟她聊天的时候老是不知道聊什么。有一次我吃完午饭回来，看到她还坐在那里，就夸人家：you work really hard, Rita...Lunch time...
估计老外也不一定喜欢被人夸工作勤奋。
she looked at me, " you know what, i need to leave early. I live in Manhattan beach. traffic is really bad during the peak hours."
Me: I see. That's really a long drive. I live close by....( I am nuts!!)
Rita: I have three kids, so I just work part time.
Me: Great! how old are they...
Rita: I have three daughters, the oldest is 13, the youngest is 9
me: i have a kid too, my son is only 19months.
Rita: oh,
me: yeah, he is so small, i feel bad sometimes
Rita: don't do that. He probably needs you more when he grows older
Me: Thanks.Lucky that I live close by. I can see him during the lunch time sometimes...
Rita: that's true...
it seems that she is still not interested in talking with me often..... I am not quite successful getting her interested in me :(
