这个查出来好像是精神病学家

可能是psychological therapists 或psycho-therapists. 如果你说therapists, 大家也能理解.另外, psychological counselor也是这一类型的,不过可能得的学位不太一样.

eighthday is right --psychiatrist就是临床管心理,以及精神疾病的。

psychologist不是MD，一般是PHD，做研究或者咨询，不能看病开药的。如果觉得忧郁，紧张什么的，都是看psychiatrist

最贴切的是 shrink， 如果是写文章就用 psychiatrist，但其实shrink 书面语里也常见。。。
随便抓个身边的美国人问问就好了。。。

你是在问Counselor吗？如果一般的问题找Counselor就可以了，现在的保险也都可以cover这个费用，如果是真的是精神上又问题，而需要有处方权的医生，就要找Psychiatrist了
