我看instructions 上面写：If you are in the United States and seek an Advance Parole Document, you may apply if: (1) You have a pending application to adjust status, Form I-485, and you seek to travel abroad temporarily for “urgent humanitarian reasons” or in furtherance of a “significant public benefit,” which may include a personal or family emergency or bona fide business reasons.

考古版上几年前有人问要什么证明好像什么都不需要，现在要求是不是变了？有没有最近申请的留意到这个问题的，谢谢

没有变。advance parole的目的一直都是这样写，但是一直（包括现在）没有要求你提供任何理由。

我填表的时候在I 131 instruction里看到这句，关于提交

(2) An explanation or other evidence showing the circumstances that warrant issuance of an Advance Parole Document; or

我是准备写一封信作为explanation。

但是参考到上面提的，“Form I-485, and you seek to travel abroad temporarily for “urgent humanitarian reasons” or in furtherance of a “significant public benefit,” which may include a personal or family emergency or bona fide business reasons.”，

我觉得一般的理由很难被当作urgent reasons，除非提供一些材料支持。这也可能是为什么1-131 大多不获准吧。

请问 newacct 层主还有大家是否知道，增加同时申请 1 131 会延长1 485 的审理时间吗？移民局是先看 1-131 再看 i-485，还是同时分开审理。

你没有看到下一个：

“or

adjustment application; or”

所以I-485申请者不需要提供任何explanation。
