十一月初提交了材料，check倒是很快就兑现了，但直到现在还没有更新的消息。赶上一堆假期又政府关门我也不奢望什么奇迹。绿卡还有一个月到期。我只是想问问如果在到期之前还没有renew的话，我的身份是什么？黑了吗？还能继续工作吗？

应该会收到一封信 延长吧？ 没收到的话去本地移民局约个info pass 在护照盖章。

只要你绿卡到期前递交了申请，你身份没问题。可以继续工作。

不需要“给公司交代”。如果绿卡到期之前给绿卡给公司填I-9，公司不应该因为绿卡过期而再想你要文件。

另外，你开始工作也不需要给绿卡给公司。你可以给没有“valid for work only with DHS authorization”文字的Social Security卡（这是一个List C document）和州驾照（这是一个List B document）。Social Security卡不会过期。公司不能一定要你给绿卡或因为你选择给其他文件而歧视你。

友情提示info pass 现在不太好约，我十二月份打了两次预约电话，到现在还没约上呢。这节奏我也是醉了。

还没约上infopass。。。而且最近的office也要往返4个多小时。。。 另外，楼上mm提到的用List B和List C的文件，我用不了，因为我的SSN上面写了“valid for work only with DHS authorization”。。。

我11/13 寄出的材料，11/22 check cashed。然后到现在都没有收到notice。正常吗？大家都是check cashed之后多久收到notice？

来更新下，到今天为止还是没有收到receipt。今天去了之前约好的infopass，没收了绿卡，在护照里盖了章延长一年。以后即使收到延长信也用不上了，以护照这个为准。如果一年后还没有绿卡，就还要去infopass再续签。 另一方面，说打指纹之后还要面试。说是现在所有二转十都要面试了，所以才那么慢。 哎，我去趟info pass来回路上三四个小时，为了不太多影响工作还提前一天开过去住一晚。折腾不起啊。。。
