I interviewed with a Company through one recuriter, and the interviewer show great interst in me.

The day after my interview, the recruiter was excited to push me to finalize my decision (when to start work, background checking etc.) I was bargaining with him about the hourly rate for a day or two (it's a contracting job) and we agreed on a rate which is a little higher than he originally proposed.

Now it's been a week and I didnt get the official offer letter from the company. The recruiter always told me that they are still waiting for the reply from the hiring company. The fact is he is still fishing around for the cheaper contractor who is willing to take the position, I happen to find he reposted the position online.

So my question is, what will be best way to get the offer? should I put pressure on him that I have other offers so please finalize it ASAP?

Also, signing papers with the consultanting firm that this recruiter works for means what kind of responsiblities from my side? I never worked as a contractor before.

Thanks for inputs!!! I may not get the offer still I would like to see certain recruiter improve his work ethic.

是你的就是你的，你可以给recruiter一点压力，但是个人觉得没太大用。要不要你取决于公司，而不是recruiter。

做contractor是按小时付钱，不过一般没有啥benefit，象保险，401k，stock option之类的。
