一般毕业以后去向基本上有两种,一种是去academic 机构,另一种是去公司。去公司可能对学术什么的要求不高,主要是比较常规的工作。据说公司也会要女的,可是当头一搬都是男的。另外那些老油子总是想欺负年轻社会经验不足的女孩子应该怎么对付。(其实不仅仅是工作中,生活中也是如此,中国人,美国人都一样)大家都是怎么和老油子打交道的?

depending on what you want. if you are willing to tolerate some body contact, they might be able to make life easier for you. but in my view, I would rather work hard than to tolerate that. So what i do is, to treat them with respect, draw boundaries tactfully, work hard and never think of taking advantage of unprofessional favors, after a few attempts, they usually can tell what kind of person you are and most of them i met respect that. it could get tricky sometimes. but I figure this is better for me in the long run and I can sleep tight at night this way.

first I think it's a personal choice more relevant to what lifestyle you want than what your gender is
second I do not think what you've mentioned is a common practice, for harassments are treated seriously in most workplaces
