I did an interview last Friday afternoon with a recruiter in a staffing company. I wrote her a thanks email once I was back home from her office but I did not receive any response. Today I called her and knew that she already forwarded my resume to the company I applied for. She said the status of the application was pending and let me call her back this Friday.

BTW, I took two tests and filled out a W-4 form in the staffing company during the interview. Now I am wondering why I should fill out the W-4 form before I get a job. I should ask her about it but I forgot. Any idea about the W-4 form issue?

One more thing, when I took the tests, her supervisor also spoke to me for a while, asking my background again and if I am available for an onsite interview with the company I applied for. Is it normal?

I didn't take any tests or w-4 forms. Not sure what those were about.

It's normal for them to ask about your schedule and your availability on interviews. Remember to follow up and see if they have any new opportunities. Good luck.

the W-4 means you would get paid by the staffing company but still work for the company you will be interviewed in. 

you are hired by the staffing company not their client company, but there is chance that you could be hired directly by the company you will be working for.

Deapsea, yes, if I get hired, I will receive the first payment from the staffing company. Since the status of the application is still pending, I do not think I am making a bigger progress than you did. Actually you are doing very well.
