大家好，把自己对移民局网站上绿卡转公民必要条件的理解列出来，希望有不正确的地方，请大家指出，以免我犯错。

绿卡批准时间2012年2月，是通过雇主申请H1B转485的。截至到2015年六月，我基本一直都呆在一个州，累计时间已有30个月。按我对美国移民官网的理解，
1: 我最早可以在2016年12月提出公民申请（网上有计算时间的链接）
2: 申请前必须在申请人所在州居住满3个月

从2015年6月起到现在，因为家庭原因，我没有长期在美居住，我每2-3个月会入境一次（比如：我2015年6月出境， 9月入境后呆了4天，2015年9月再出境，2015年11月入境再呆了20天）我接下来的打算是：
1: 2016年3月入境，呆5天
2: 2016年5月入境，呆1周
3: 2016年8月入境，呆1周
4： 2016年10月入境，3个月后提出公民申请，直到面试

我孩子在美国出生，除了他以外的直系亲属（老公和父母）都不在美国居住，已经帮老公申请绿卡，不过排期太长。我之所以2015-2016年不能长期呆在美国是因为老公绿卡排期迟迟不到，我们不想孩子没有完整的家。

请问：我以上对美国移民官网的理解对吗？我2015年-2016年期间的离境对我获得公民的影响大吗？按我的计划，我可以在2017年1月提出申请吗？我的情况的硬伤如何缓解？

You need to have at least 2.5 years of physical presidency during 5 year period. Your application will be denied.

我已经呆了2.5年了（30个月）从2012年起。不是吗？

physical presence没有问题。要担心的是continuous residence。一般要离境6个月才打断continuous residence；你每次都没有6个月。但是如果两个旅程很近的话不知道他们会不会把它们一起算或什么的。如果打断continuous residence了就要从头开始算5年。

谢谢 看来我的理解没有问题。我担心的也是这个continuous presidency. 这个没有明文规定，就看到时候面试官如何判。没办法，孤注一掷了。

If none of your trips are 6 months or more, it is the responsibility of the IO to look at the entire pattern of your travels and ties to the US to determine if you broke continuous residence. So if all your trips are under 6 months each, you could still be found to break continuous residence if you took 4 trips of 5 months each with one week in between.

I see. What u said makes sense. It is also what have understood too, the risk. So the conclusion is I will be eligible to apply and it will depends on the IO to decide on my case. What I can do is to present the ties I have in USA and hope for the best. Thanks.

所以你的建议是不该频繁出入境？其实我只需要1年半的时间，如果只出入境2-3次，反而好些？
