Can anyone tell me the after tax monthly income in my situa

Can anyone tell me the after tax monthly income in my situation? My family base annual income will be (After LD and I both graduate this July) around $135,000. How will the monthly after tax paycheck be? Can we afford a house of $400k if we have cash for the downpay? Thanks! [em01]

I've heard that the safe range of prices that you pay for your house is no more than 3 times of what you earn. If this is true, then you're about right on the cap. But I don't think this applies to those high living expense area, such as in California. [em01]

I do not know the exact amount, it depends on a number of things. But you can check it out using some online finance tools, or ask your finance advisor. Good news is that I know people whose family income is similar to yours and bought $400K house in Bay area, and are having decent life. [em08]

if you both working ,and the jobs are pretty secure, with 135000 annual income, it's not hard at all to buy a 400000 house; better do this instead of wasting money on tax ---- T rate is the highest for working couples with no kids nor house.
