It all depends on how long you will be staying there. Augusta itself does not have any interesting place, but you can go up to Atlanta, visiting CNN Cococolar center etc for one day. The distance between these two city is about 100 miles, which will take about 2 hours' drive. You can also drive down to Macon (distance is a bit shorter, 87miles). The city is very nice full of sculptures and stuff. And you can visit the 韦斯里昂女子学院（宋庆龄的母校）。Very nice college. driving even further south (3 hours' driving from Augusta) you will reach Savanna, GA's best seaside city. If you have enough time, make sure don't miss this city.
