关于on-site interview

It's a little bit unusual but not unlikely. I had an onsite with one of the big4 in a small-to-midsized city, with no oncampus interview and no phone interview either, and they called me onsite directly. I met 7+ people during the onsite interview.

可是我知道的做research, engineering 或technical job的基本上都要经过 phone screen。做sales的很多是让直接去on-site.

Like I said, it IS UNusual, but not unlikely. I guess most of the jobs require either on campus first round or phone interview as first round, pre-screening so to speak. I'm not in sales, though. I thought it was probably because of the reputation of my b-school and it's an entry level position. That's why there was no phone interview for me, but all other interviews I had start from either on-campus or phone interview :-)
