I was the 1st year undergraduate student in 89. I went to 5-6 parades at that time. I was not in BJ though. Actually at that time I was not very clear about what happened, I just believed everything I was told, and thought I did a right thing. But these years after I have searched a lot of historical evidence, I realize that a lot of young students were taken advantage by western countries and a small group people. I believe Chinese goverment did the best they could at that time to avoid this event going to a wrong direction.

(To carolena: 最后毕业分配的时候，不管报告上交待去了10次还是去了一次的，都没有好的分配) Above comment is not the case when I graduated. Most of my classmates (around 150 students in my major, 5 classes) went to parade. We all reported to school what we did in 89 but our graduation assignments were not affected. But, I heard a few top student leaders in our city might be affected. BJ and SH might be a different story.
