The problem with the courier is not really widespread. Last year we shipped only 3 packages to China by courier and each was a problem with Customs. There really is nothing we can do. Customs want people to buy import licences. Since then we never ship by courier so nothing in last 9 months has gone by courier, only by post. Very soon we shall have an agent in Shanghai so the shipping problems will be no more.
