I thee wed

After much planning, our wedding finally took place last weekend. Sharing parts of the day with you. Most of my planning details can be seen in my previous post...

The gown: Had to have major alterations done, 'cause I'm so much shorter than the design... [em05]

The dress: I ordered online with specified measurements- it came perfectly, good quality, and timely.

Bridesmaids: I wanted something a little different for the girls. This modified style Chinese dress turned out great- knee length, A-line, Mandarin collar. It goes perfectly with my Chinese American theme. These were ordered online as well- the price is very reasonable, quality so-so, but the girls were very happy.

Overall I thought the florist did a great job, except for the ceremony arch for which she was not able to secure the spray across and had to settle for one arrangment on the side.

Thanks! No, planning a wedding once is enough work, I don't have the energy to do another in China. Though having gone to China for our honeymoon, it is best to go to China first- a lot of things are cheaper and better in China if you want some Asian/Chinese touch to your ceremony in the U.S. Strongly recommend shopping in China!!! [em08]

It really depends on what you want... I think with all the details of wedding planning, some times we lose sight of the BIGGER picture- life after the ceremony. Though the wedding day is perhaps every girl's dream to a degree, the actual married life deserves more work and care. Even though I've been lucky to be able to afford this wedding, but I think even if circumstances won't allow a wedding of my dreams, it still would have been a great day. I'm not trying to sound like a book or "know-it-all", but whatever you mean by impossible, think the possibilities- don't shut yourself down first! [em08]
