Yi gets first taste with Bucks

St. Francis - It didn't take long for Yi Jianlian to be thrown into action today, in his first practice session with the Bucks. The 7-foot power forward had little time to rest, after arriving late Wednesday afternoon on a 15-hour flight from Shanghai to Chicago. But he was taking part in intense 1-on-1 drills in the Bucks' morning practice, and receiving encouragement from new teammates Charlie Bell and Michael Redd. Yi blocked a shot by forward Desmond Mason in a three-on-three, pick-and-roll drill. The former Guangdong Tigers player seemed to fit in quickly as he dunked off a feed from guard Mo Williams at the other end of the court. Yi listened attentively as coach Larry Krystkowiak explained some defensive concepts, and assistant coach Jarinn Akana talked extensively with Yi on the sidelines when he was not involved in drills.
