I just got my H1B visa. The application fee is $2190 for USCIS. The lawyer fee is $1200.

You can ask your company to reimburse you.

Oh, I forgot to mention, if your company has less than 25 employees, you can save $500.

Plus, don't use the premium processing which is $800 more expensive. ($500 for USCIS, $300 for lawyer)

I use the oridinary processing and got my visa in a month.

You'd better do it with a lawyer. The procedure is very complcated which definitely needs a lawyer and better start ASAP so that you can file your application before April. The visas are gone like crazy.
