lol~ big question, where should i begin?

first of all, you need a ssn.the credit card company decides whether to issue you a credit card or not based on your credit history associated with your ssn. since you just came to the US, you don't have any credit history established. so it's rather hard to get a credit card now. you can try some of the credit cards for students if you are one. they will usually ask for a letter from the school. it might be easier. but i recommand you wait for a year or so, pay your bills and build your credit history. just remember, do NOT file too many applications in a short time!!!

oh~ and read the fine prints of any credit cards you are interested in. most of them don't have an annul fee. but some do. beware of all the charges and benefits and choose wisely.

normally, discover card and capital one are the easier ones to begin with.
