When I was in high school, casually I participated in a course about programming. The class taught me how to use Visual Basic to design a program. The friendly interface made me interested in the relationship between human beings and the computer. At that time, internet network also began to rise and develop. I have come to realize that the computer will change the world people live. I began to think that I can put my effort into studying about computer science. Therefore, after graduating from high school, I entered the Department of Information Management at .

Since I got into the university, I began to subscribe magazines about computer news. Magazines can help me to get the latest information in this field which is about new skills in hardware and software. I like to try new things. Because I want to read more information from books and the Internet, I learned Japanese. The ability can make me travel alone in . In the school, I joined in a dancing club which teaches jazz. In the club, I recognize many new friends, and I love to dance with them. Because I want to spread the fun of dancing to more people, I design a homepage about dancing for the club. It let me learn how to use Internet to disseminate information to people.

The value of computer science is not only in its accumulation of knowledge, but also in its methods for solving real-life problems. I believe that one must learn more than theory, and so in the third year of school, I participated in a special topic and followed a professor to learn profound skills. I became a member of Distributed Information Systems Laboratory. I practiced to do software about VOIP with a team. Experienced this project, I learned the theory of distributed networking and the method for sharing network resources. I also know the process to design software and the importance of dividing the work on a project. After this project, I plunged into another project which has to compete with other teams. Our team has to write a cellphone program with friendly interface and build a platform which can be used by entertainment. The goal of project is to provide a platform which can let stores publish their advertisement and let users of cellphone download the advertisement information when they are near the store. Through this project experience, I learned skills and knowledge of database and network security and know how to implement it. I believe that these skills are important for network planning and management. Worth mention is that this project greatly influenced me and attracted my interest, because I feel that what I do can let people’s life more convenient and can make commerce more rising and flourishing. I believe that these skills can help me do more profound research in graduate school.

After graduating, I want to learn more about networking and distributed systems in graduate school. Besides concentrating in such fields, I also want to take course about network security. I want to get a Master degree. After completing my studies and returning in , I plan to do a network administrator. And I want to carry out new ideas and use new technology skills to promote people’s life.

My project plus my experience growing up in a changeably city have helped me to understand that the rapid growth of Internet has produced numerous problems such as committing a crime through it. I believe that a graduate school education will enhance my ability so that I will be able to help solve these problems. Since the is the leading country in the field of computer science, I believe that it is the best place to pursue my interest. I think my experience in projects can help me do better research in the fields. My short-term goal after obtaining my Master degree and coming back to is to accumulate more professional experience. My long-term objective is to become a network administrator. I can participate in some projects about networking or distributed systems. I am convinced that your school‘s computer science curriculum will be instrumental in the completion of my goal.
