我总拖拉到最后，这时一般要不就没有位置要不就奇贵，大家一般提前多久定trip呢？而且怎么克服总担心万一到时候有什么意外，比如工作timeline或者天气不好，无法成行呢？

Of course you tell your boss you will be on vacation from Dec 21 - Dec 31 and have that settled before you book your airline tickets and hotels. You can always buy trip insurance, btw.
