IN the GIA cert, they list the table and depth, and there is a chart showing where the inclusions are. the table means the face of the diamond. and the depth is the height. they are shown in percentage. this is how thy indicate the cutting of the diamond. for the ideal cut, usually they mean by for round diamond, the table not exceed 60%, usually both table and depth to be about 55 is pretty good. u don't want too much depth, that would make the diamond looks small. and if the table is too big, the reflection is not as good, making the diamond not as shiny. adn the chart shows you the where thoses cuts are.
