Take an online defensive course. In NY at least it reduces points by 4. What did you get points for? Normally you wouldn't get points unless you did something reckless to cause the accident.

Here I think only cops give out points for moving violations. I haven't heard of anyone who got points without getting a traffic ticket. But, I give you a lot of credit for leaving a note. My car has been hit many times while parked, and no one has ever left a note. The jerks just hit my car and ran away.

WA does not use a point system so I am not sure what point system you are referring to. Maybe the insurance companies in WA have their own point systems?
