I am not sure about other school. But T 590 and GPA AROUND 3.0 sound not very strong to apply any good program in my univ.(typical 2nd tier school) I would say if you can get in the accounting program, it is not bad at all. But if you want to apply other programs like finance or statistic in a not too bad univ., you'd better to polish your GPA a little bit and have a better T score. Just my 2 cents.

If you are in MI, I do not suggest to enter the accounting program there. I used to study in a univ. in middle, so I am pretty sure there is nearly NO chance for international student graduated from business. I have several very good friends who get all kinds of MS and PHD degree from AK and Kentuky(?). They searched job till the end of their OPT and finally have to relocate to Boston and NYC. If your husband will graduate soon, I suggest you select colleges in the regions that have more opps. Even the school is on the same level as the your husband's.
