Fort Worth is one of the best preserved western towns. There is the famous Rodeo show in the stock yard. There are lots of museums. The modern art museum of Fort Worth is very famous. The botanic garden is big and free. The forth worth zoo is pretty good too, and it's cheap ($10 or less). It's a great little town to visit.

I enjoy living in DFW area. There are many good restaurants that offer a big variety of food. Texas steaks are the best. I think there is a Hong Kong market in Arlington.

The village is close to US75 and Northwest highway in Dallas. It's going to be a nightmare for your husband's commute to Forth Worth.

Best thing for you now would be to find an apartment near your husband's work and move to somewhere else once you are familiar with the city.
