Don't only look at salary.  Consider the opportunity to learn, room for development and etc...  Even if you start at $40k, it doesn't mean that you will only earn that much forever.  If the job can provide you the necessary experience/skills/opportunties, you could double/triple your income later.  Meanwhile, having a job is better than no job at all..., unless you only want to stay in US.
