其实老人和小孩是一样的。如果父母对自己不好，小孩虽然长大了，心里受到的伤害会带一辈子，反倒不如老人，死了就一了百了了。只不过老人死了，在旁人看起来更可怜一些。 都是社会的弱势群体，好像总也找不到一个十全十美的办法。

具体案例具体分析。如果劳拉不喜欢这样对待她的母亲，其实她可以把她接回家照顾。但是长期下来，可能真的顶不住。
这里有nursing home，有政府接手这些老人，真的感觉比中国好太多了。

same here. I really appreciate all the pleasure my son gave me as a baby, only thing I want from him is he will be happy. If some day I am old and need a lot of care from him, I will become a burden of him and his life, then that will be the time I will kill myself. I already have my life and he will have his.. I won't let him down because me, anybody will die anyway
