I'll do the very opposite: sell short-term call and buy long-term put. The option market consistently over price short-term volitolity and NEVER price for a disaster, which will be sure to happen in the long run.

yah yah, maybe they do the samething as u said. they r working in FRM, always feel the total mkt will crash in one day.
