My experiences:
1) Smile to colleagues;
2) Take initiative, especially in small business. The bosses want people to help out to support their success!
3) Don't refrain yourself from doing trivial things for the company or colleagues, even including things like copying or printing.
4) If you have a really busy manager, don't be afriad to help out. Sometimes you might be afriad of stepping into other's shoes, but they might look for extra hands... However, when their workloads start slow down, don't be too aggrresive becuase they might feel that you are too competitive at that point.
5) Always be a good organizer. Learning organizing is not just about cleaning up your desk. Be neat on your work station helps you to clear out and re-structure your thoughts. Learn to streamline working processes to improve your efficiency of work.
6) Sometimes there is always difficult collagues that you have to deal with. Leave him/her alone.
7) Sometimes you try to help up others proactively to build up rapport with colleagues. However, you could also try to wait for them to come to you for help so s/he remembers it in a deeper way and will spread good words for you when it is needed.
