Pros (+) and Cons (-):

Folder:

+ easier and faster to take the resume out, especially if someone ask for your resume unexpectedly

- occupy one of your hand. It's terrible if you need to shake hands while holding some other material.

Tote/bag:

- have the person waiting and seeing the mess of your bag when taking the resume out. But if you

always have the resume in hand before talking to someone, it should not be a problem.

+ Have two free hands.

But our school career counselor recommends folder (better in navy/black leather)

because it looks professional, while bags look a bit personal.
