Slim figure from Ballet basics

Ballerinas are strong, yet do not have bulky muscles. It is the best way to build slim figure, I think. Like Flying-pipi mentioned, streching after exercise is important. It would be best to attend a ballet course to learn the correct ways of exercising the basics. Then you can do it at home.

I've taken beginner's ballet course (2 hour very week) for several semesters--I guess most

universities in US have such courses, so are sports clubs. We have classmates on all different

levels--from knowing nothing (like I was), to quite advanced. The emphasis was on basic

postures and moves. We do 5 minutes streching after every exercise. I won't say that the course

was professional. It is like Yoga courses--simpy enjoy it!

It was very helpful to me. I used to have bulky muscles on lower arm and

lower leg, 'cos I play badminton and tennis. Now I think the muscles hide. :)

The price in school is pretty cheap--about $60 per semester,


for 2 hours per week. I don't know the price in clubs. May


find out later.


Our teacher used to dance in Broadway shows till she hurt her


feet. So she cannot show us detailed foot movement sometimes.


I don't know if she is good or not without comparison. But she is


definitely better than a guy who came once to help. We had a very


handsome boy, who I think is an under, playing paino for us. [em07]
