另外我想一个问题：

我想在4月1号后给父母交申请（这样可以不用打flu shot），但他们的I-94 4月23日过期，我父母总是不放心，怕4/23之前不能收到回执。我在网上考古看到说即使父母I-94过期，也不会影响他们申请绿卡；但跟父母说了他们还是不放心。请问一下这条规定的官方规定哪里能够找到？

我在I-485 instructions，Who is not eligible to adjust status里看到，you are not eligible for adjustment of status if any of the following apply to you: 6. You failed to maintain your nonimmigrant status, ..., unless you are applying because you are: A An immediate relative of a U.S. citizen (parent, spouse, widow, or unmarried child under 21 years old).

这一条是不是就是官方规定呢？还是别的地方可以找到更详细具体的官方规定？如果能找到的话，我就可以让父母放心，可以在4/1后再申请了。谢谢！
