receipt都留下真的很重要。尤其那些爱买包买鞋的。。。sales tax退税可以省不少。 另外买车买家电做home improvement之类的也都有tax incentive。。。不知道是不是楼主说的小钱范围内。

我们家今年装个新房顶，过了什么engergy star指标的，就可以退点税。
所以这种大投入不要一年投入，每年投一点，这样每年都可以把那点税要回来。。。

不是指在买的投资房里办公。
楼主开了公司，在家里有个房间是用做business used home office. 是报在 form 8829上。 家里所有的水电煤气垃圾费，lawn care，房屋维护等等，地税，房贷利息，这些费用，可以按这个房间面积除以整个house的面积的百分比来算开销，可以抵消一部分business income。 本来这些utility开销是个人消费，现在一部分能来deductible to offset income，当然好啦。地税，房贷利息剩下的% 还可以用来take itemized deduction。

学校给的tax research account突然没法用了，google粗略的查了下，你们这个属于energy generation的tax credits，30%的税率*cost? 如果是普通的买家电improve什么的，只有在卖房子时候才能用。不知道对不对。

这个叫energy saving credit。黑体的那些是我们家搞过或者准备搞的。其他的不适用我们家。。。
我说的家电指的是water heater, furnace那些的。。。可能这个也算improvement？
总之这些大项目应该匀开了做，甚至比如门窗吧，可以每年换几个，另外有个sheet可以计算多年的，我还没研究过。
总之过了limit太多就亏了。每年是500刀。

每个州的sale tax税率不一样，给的范围也不一样，比如我们州sale tax有9.5%，报税软件给出的standard deduction是四千六百多还是七百多，意思是如果你自己去年一年留下的发票所有的sale tax超多这个standard的标准，比如去年我家买东西付了5000刀的sale tax，5000-4700=300，如果你们家税率是28%，那么你们可能省了不到90块的税，问题是你要把这5000刀的sale tax的发票都要留下来

我就光把网上order的攒一攒，就超过standard了。。。所以实际需要保存的receipt也不是说那么多。。。

说了这么多，大家居然没有说上学。。。 符合要求的学费书本费什么的，也可以抵税呀。。。那些半工半读的情况。。。

你大款啊，买了接近五万的东西啊。。。

我装个房顶就两万多啊！
抓大头，几下就把税搞出来了。。。

再贡献一个，如果有银行存款，每个月有点利息，而且每个月有固定捐款项目的，不如把这个利息拿进去算作捐款的一部分，因为存款利息缴税很高，但是捐款这个可以抵消。

好像是低于十块还是二十的存款利息不用交税的。。。

你家年年装房顶啊，我以前回过如果不是当年买家具家电大装修，必然普通家庭日常话不到那么多sale tax，

我不买奢侈品，每天外食tax可能也有些。。。但是懒得算了。
