[求助] H1B Questions!!!

I recently got an offer from a company and I will request them to apply for H1B on March 8th (when the 20,000 H1B quota for 2005 becomes available). I am currently working at a university with H1B.

My questions:

1. Can I leave my current university position but still legally stay in the once the company files H1B for me (no approval yet)?

2. Can I start my new position without my new H1B approval?

3. Is 14-day a guarantee to get H1B approved?

Thank you very very much for your kind help.

ft, can you see my reply?

Now I can see... Thank you very much ah....

I just want to take a bit time off between the two jobs, but don't know how to maintain my valid status. I will consult an attorney as well.

that really deponds upon LUCK. why in such a hurry?

See, I'd like to take 2 weeks off between the two jobs. So, I asked my current employer (university) to extend 2-wk H1B for me (my paid holiday leftovers, can't ask for more). At teh same time, I asked the company to apply for H1B with premium handeling, which is said to take 14 days. I thought in this way, I will keep my valid H1B status.
