没有奖学金是挺难的，我刚上学的时候没奖，全靠GG的奖学金，什么都不敢买，不过后来我们两个人都有奖了，买了新车，还是很紧张。
我建议MM还是要找稳妥的地方打工，万一被移民局查到就不是小事了。

I have been worked in the Chinese Restauraunt part-time for 1 month for my tuition.

As hostess and waitress,hostess,have to stand and walk a lot.As Waitress,the plate is really quite heavy.
I just got $1000 for part-time.The situation is about $100/day.Not very good.:)

Then the boss want to fire some full-time worker and ask me do it full-time,then I told him the school is going to start and I will quit and then recommend a co-worker (An MBA with wife and kid and tuition to pay) to him.
Actually working at school computer lab or library could be nice to get some pocket money.
Otherwise finding a hostess/cashier position in a nice restaurant for a while can be OK.
The payment may be higher than school but it is physical work,may be tiresome.Good things is you can contact people and get to know things in another way.
I think school is better for you can study at the same time though the payment won't be high.
