Did this surgeon give you a referral to a Mohs surgeon? If not, you should find online a Mohs surgeon covered by your insurance and call for an appointment. Mohs surgeons are dermatologists trained specifically in Mohs microscopic surgery. Depending on what's been done to your DFSP (excision vs biopsy), your Mohs surgeon can decide if it's ok to proceed with Mohs. But by textbook, Mohs is indicated in DFSP.
