I'm doing on line surveys for some market research companies.(I'm not employed by those companies, just earn some pocket money to help my family)

The thing is I just heard that once I earn more than $600 in one year,my survey payments are taxable. Can you tell me which tax form I shoud fill out for this kind of income? 1099 Form ?

Another concern is I'm a F2 and don't have SSN. Some of survey payments go to my hubby's name, parts go to my name. Do I need to pay tax? If the answer is Yes. How to pay tax if I don't have SSN?

Thank you in advance for your help!

Thank you very much! Freeway and Mimirose.

Here is the response I received from the survey company "You have to earn over $600 a year before it's
taxed. We file on our end, but ultimately you are responsible for
declaring monies you have won."

Does that means if the company doesn't send a 1099 form, then I don't need to pay tax?

P.S: If Freeway can get more detailed info from your advisor,I would greatly appreciate that...

Thank you ! Btw, Can F2 pay tax? Someone told me the tax rate depends on my household income,is that true? Can you give me a range (20% of the income? Or 30%?)
