No, this is not true. I know one real case that the girl was diagnosed as brain death, not a donor. Hospital still needed parents(and husband's) permit to remove the lift support machine. If family members believe that the patient is not dead, they have the option to move the patient to a hospice place which would allow the life support machine to be on forever. (Until organs actual stop working......)
