I feel that running on the treadmill is much easier than running on the track. For me, I usually can run for one mile on the track and then I would like to give up. But on the treadmill, I have tried to run for 2 miles and didn't feel little tired, and I think the speed on the treadmill was faster than what I have on the track. Do you guys feel the same thing? Does it mean that running on the treadmill has less effect than running on the track?

Another question I have is that when I run on the track, my knees feel unconfortable for the first 2-300 meters. But they are fine for the rest running and after running. Does anyone have the same experience or know what is going on?

Thanks a lot

以下是引用lurenyi在2005-5-23 13:41:00的发言:

I have the same feeling about treadmill, and I know a lot of ppl have this feeling too. I think as far as you maintain the same heart rate, then the treadmill and track should be equally effective.

For the knee problem, maybe a slow warm up and some stretch before the regular running will help you. [em01]

good luck!

Thanks. It seems that you are very knowledgeable about exercise. I see you answer questions everywhere. Appreciate your help.
