I have both, but got so lazy to use contacts. Frame actually is better for eyes. I have two pairs: regular(armani frame) and a prescription sunglasses(another famous brand, forgot lah).

I want to get another pair of transition lenses

yes, but my eye doctor said when he drove in it, the glasses were not dark enuf to protect his eyes, so he recommended prescription sun glasses for me, which I got.

But I still want a pair of transition. to see how it works, hehe

I don't see much difference between 8月下旬 and early sept(just 1-2 weeks away) from immigration standpoint

August is really busy, even if you get seats. Girls won't feel good in a packed plane. Early Sept, the plane is much more empty, you will feel the trip is much better.

This time, I was in an quite empty place from Chicago to Shanghai and in a full one from Shanghai to San Francisco, the experience was totally different.
