Where did you get this list? A lot of argument could be made as whom should
and should not be on this list.
For example, whom and whom?
Everytime people comes up with a list of ten best, it is subject to all kinds of arguments. Here I would like to share my two cents.
All of the people on the list are great offensive players or ballhandlers. It is sad that
no defensive specialist made the lost.
AI no doubt is one of the fastest guy ever, but there is one guy, Tyrone Lue, who currently is on Wizards roster, IMO is almost as quick as AI. In 2000 final between 76sers and the lakers, after 76ers winning the series opener, Lue was put on AI and he did a fantastic job. Lue is no-match talent-wise to AI, but he is definitely fast. Other fast defenders come to my mind are Bowen, christie and young Payton, maybe even Jordan.
Since the list includes Hakeem, then I have to bringing in at least another two 7 footers. One is the big ticket and the other one is Dirk. Both of them are legit 7 foot. (Hakeem actually is only 6'11.) Both of them can handle the ball and run like guards. Dream's dream shake is good, but it has more to do with good ball-fake, agility than foot speed.
I am supprised to see Jason Kidd made the list. He hustles and looks faster than he actually is. How about Kevin Johnson, the 5'10 guard dunking over Hakeem? I think he should have made the list over Kidd.
I have no oppinion about those past greats since I never watched their play. But I do not think shooting at 45% for Sput Webb is something to be marveled about...
Just my two cents of thought, now fire away.....
