I am suffering from the same symptom now 5555555555~~. Warm water helps to soothe the pain. cold water kills me. It hurts more at night.
As far as I know, you need prescription for any antibiotics in the US.

首先,找不找医生你的那颗牙齿都已经死了,但是它不会脱落的.就好比一棵树,虽然已经死了,可是暂时不会倒下来一样.但是那颗牙齿会慢慢变色,碰到硬东西还会容易一小块一小块的拖落.
其实你如果不去找医生也行.一个星期以后就不疼了.找医生的话,他可以帮你帮坏死的牙神经拿出来,然后为你的牙齿根管(就是容纳牙神经的地方)消毒用药和材料填起来.这样一来你的牙齿以后就不容易发炎拉!前后要好几次才做的完,可能整个过程要1个月吧.但是你的荷包就该受苦拉,呵呵.
如果不处理,在身体抵抗力不好的时候,根管的里面残留物容易发炎,导致牙根部分和周围软组织发炎.严重的时候还可能引起相应的牙槽骨的炎症.所以你如果不想看医生就要特别注意口腔卫生,还有就是保持一个壮壮的身体,那样的话,也许很长时间都不会有问题的.

I just had root canal done yesterday. It took my dentist only 45 minutes. Now the hole in
my tooth is filled, but now there is another hole, in my wallet. root canal plus crown cost me $500. That's after my insurance paid over $700 already.

I am quite happy with my tooth, finally pain-free so I can do something always wanted, like eating a lot. BTW, Cerium, does a NYC dentist charge less or they spend more time with the tooth? Actually I was quite happy he finished the job quick.
