route 1 is closed after big sur

palace of fine art is next to golden gate bridge and only takes 0.5-1 hr, can be moved to day 1
recommend 0.5 day to the muir woods park

also in December sunset time is 5pm not 8-9pm like summer
so it would be difficult to hike at the beach or park trail after 5:30pm since there is no light

17 miles 去了两次，感觉1-2个小时足够了。 muir woods铺好的木板大道走一圈40分钟，（其他长的trail也没啥意思）拍拍照的话1个小时，如果周末去会难找爬车，要等到四点后，因为树林那时天已经暗了。
