楼上有人已经说了，提高对环境的判断能力很重要，简单地说就是不要存着侥幸心理去危险的地方。例如，晚上单独去人迹罕至的地方（停车场的某个角落），参加人员高度密集的活动，这都是危险的。
电击棒、电击枪这种东西，如果不用在要害部位，对于强壮的人效果不大。警用的电击枪很多时候都治不住坏人呢，就不用说民用的了。
家里有两个男娃，如果买枪的话，一定要买保险箱或者枪柜，仅仅是枪弹分离是不够的；藏在某个地方以为孩子就找不到了，也是不现实的。安全保存枪支，除了避免可能的事故，也是为了防止枪支被盗，还可以避免家人用枪自杀。
一个女孩子不要去没人的地方基本上就没啥事了。发生事情路人不会不管的。

之前跟一个国内朋友聊天，问我在美国为什么要有枪，我说很简单：
1）最佳方案是所有人都没有枪。所有人用嘴和选票说话。
2）其次是只有国家强力机构有枪。老百姓用选票收拾政府。
3）所有人都有枪，动态平衡。
4）最次的是别人有枪，我没有枪。最后真遇到了什么事情，比如我是那个纽约市中心的卖酒的华人老板，没枪？当待宰的羔羊吗？？？你想当，我不反对。你劝别人当羔羊，我也会劝说大家自强。
既然现在在这个国家，1）2）客观做不到，那就选择3）吧，否则老中都选择4），难怪有人会编歌劝人抢华人。就算我是只兔子，也希望关键时刻有蹬鹰的能力。
BTW，从家里安全角度，还有很多可以做的，枪是最后防线，但不是第一防线。

我觉得不管练什么，如果真想有用的， 得每天练，随便挑一个大家推荐的， 但每天都得练，就算是pepper spray, 也得找堵墙每天对着喷一下。

练枪是可以客观衡量的，主要体验在精度，速度上面，反复练会明显提高，所以很多人反复的去练。
喷喷雾如果没有这种提高的过程，每天乱喷是没有必要的，各种风环境里熟悉一下操作就行了
练枪你每次至少得打100发，按瓶子如果每天按太贵，就隔几天按一次吧。那个东西得在户外按，还得看风向，不然自己就中招了。

我让小小孩去对着树喷我的喷雾，半天喷不出来，因为手劲不够大死活按不动按钮
