结果以自己被批捕的惨烈方式向全美国证明或者践行了这三个口号。

Attorney General Ken Paxton will face lawyers for the men who accused him of securities fraud seven years ago in a one-hour deposition after the November elections.
The Dallas Morning News reported Thursday that Collin County District Court Judge Cynthia Wheless ordered Paxton to sit for the deposition on Nov. 28, three weeks after the culmination of Paxton’s reelection race. He is running against Democrat Rochelle Garza.

法庭有权逮捕，重要的是老川已经被indicted。
indictment 之后法庭逮捕，出庭判无罪还可以是自由人。indictment 之后就算法庭不实行逮捕，法庭上定了罪还是要坐牢。
所以 indictment 才是真正有 consequence 的，逮捕是否对结局毫无关系。

Regretfully, still-indicted Republican Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is at it again. It's still not clear why Paxton even remains in office, seven years after he was indicted on felony state security fraud charges and two years after multiple top members of his own attorney general's office accused him of bribery and abuse of office. We can only presume it's because Texas Republicans are, as a group, so corrupt that bribery and securities fraud doesn't raise an eyebrow for them—and anyone looking for evidence to the contrary there is in for a tough, tough search.
美国的司法就是这样啊。因为定罪的要求很高，所以很不容易坐实核心罪名。
大名鼎鼎的黑帮老大Al Capone 最后是因为偷税漏税被IRS抓了。很多案子最后被坐实的是wire fraud, make false statements, 而不是本身的罪行比如杀人放火，贿赂，密谋，或者欺诈。

颠覆国家罪举证起诉程序的复杂性与准备时间长多了，美国史上的几个大罪犯最后也是一些逃税啊诈骗啊这些更容易举证的罪行定罪的。
反正犯罪就是犯罪，法律就可以定他罪！有本事你叫老川别犯罪啊，呀呀啥其他废话！
