我乍觉得这个并不是一个好的sign, 如果入取的是这三个学校, P是普林斯 y是耶鲁 m是mit。 plus 娃每天吐槽 "I hate school"
非灾区的强STEM公高。NMSF大约10%。年级头部10%的高中毕业生AP以上的课程都是15+。理工男娃12年级选了三门文科AP,作业太花时间,还得了个B,上学上糊了。好在高中总算快完事了,但面临大学选择的问题。T5里录了MPY。
如果去M的话,感觉就是高中加强版啊。估计大学生活除了上课,作pset就是吃饭睡觉了。优点是计算机专业排名好,学生宿舍分配容易满意。但伙食好像比较差。CPW转了一圈感觉基本都是灾区娃,竞争意识深入骨髓都不会放松了。我娃跟刺刀娃们一比,妥妥的🐏娃啊。被娃"I hate school"搞怕了。
如果去Y家应该能学得比较轻松。Y的音乐氛围好像不错。娃弹过钢琴,拉过小提琴,吹过低音号不过都是初级水平,也不知道能不能跟着混。当然课不忙的话,也可以去混其他clubs。Y的伙食据说很好。缺点就是CS排名有点低啊。有娃在Y读Math/CS的家长说说体会吗?矿厂和大厂会来招intern吗?
P家好像介于M和Y之间。课不轻松但不允许拿双学位,所以好歹还有时间参加课外活动。P有好多sports club。娃网球打得马马虎虎。P今年的college preview搞得比较差,跟MY没法比。想带娃去踩踩点都没机会。
当初建议娃去上丝糕但娃不愿意。娃现在也承认了当初应该选丝糕。现在怕重复选高中的错误。有选择也是麻烦事啊。

楼主就是瞎操心而已,最后还是得听孩子的。这孩子绝不是楼主能改主意
Not good sign.楼主但愿不是凡尔赛,要不然也是白瞎了自己的IQ
挺糟糕,智力很高,但是并没有帮助孩子找到自己感兴趣的事。
基本上是上了名校也是白搭,家长有责任。
周围有例子,不是什么羡慕嫉妒之类。
父母若爱子,则为之计深远,这里很多大妈感觉上了好大学就是终点,其实是个不那么重要的起点罢了
建议去躺平学校,说真的,娃虽然进了不错学校,但明显不enjoy,恐怕已经是burnout, 或者burnout前端。继续这样下去,就是毕业混个工作,不会太努力的。
虽然说的楼主估计不想听,现在明显去个比较轻松就能拿分数的学校比较好,慢慢4年调整身体和身心,重新充电。

牛娃
