ust read through this thread~~ totally impressed!! You are such a gorgeous lady.
I like your dress stories but as well as your working experience which I admire the most. A PR firm… I am now in school taking the series of PR courses. The more I learn, the less confident I am in my ability to work as a PR practitioner after graduation. Language barriers are the hardest part for me to crackle through. I just came to the sates two and half years ago. Communication ability…….
Hope I can talk with you and learn something from you regarding your work experience. I am so confused and sometimes frustrated.
ur so patient and frank in answering our petty little questions~~~~ hehe
Yes, Honesty is the key to any relationship, online ship, frienship...or whatever the "ship" we are in, right?? I dont know anyone here (besides Darkmoon, we have been friends for a while), there is no reason to impress or lie, right???
i don't think it's bad to marry a white~~ just curious of how u guys communicate~~ i mean ur english seems pretty good, but are there times that u just couldnn't express exactly how u feel in english? when did u come to the states? ^^
I came here in 1987 with my parents (Gosh, time flies, almost 20yrs ago) -- NO, they are not on the "most wanted" list by Chinese government, hehehe... They are both doctors. For the deeper communication, I manipulate English better than Chinese, in another words, I flight well in English with hubby, hahaha... I am not intimidated by his law background at all!!

Good Monday everyone!! Wish all the pretty MMs to have a fullfilled (fullfilled with happiness and excitment, and new dresses, new shoes, new handbags, new job, new men...) week!!
Continue my dress stories here...
Flashy red dress -- This is an old dress. If I remember it correctly (you know, with age catching up on you, the first thing to go is the memory. My mom always said I suffer short/long term memory lost from the day I was born , poor me... ), I ordered this dress from Victoria Secret Magazine. It is hot red, I always think it was too flashy to wear. October of last year, husband had a business trip to Sao Paulo, Brazil. I have never been to South America before, Brazil, sound good for a first timer!! Hubby was very busy with the meetings after meetings. I was a bit bored walking/shopping alone. I went to this little cafe across the street (we stayed in Hotel Emiliano, in the very safe and fancy disctrict). I got myself an outdoor seat, start doing some people watching even with the Latin music in the background (I love doing that, dont you all???). I had my organic hot tea, watermelon juice, and a small sandwich, heaven, heaven, heaven... I start talking to this couple in front of me, the woman is a designer, even have her own shop in the mall, the man, quite handsome, but I couldnt understand 1/2 of what he said with his Brazilian English... All of sudden, the man asked me, "May I dance with you"? I looked around, I didnt see a dance floor, I puzzled and said "where? when?" He smiled and said "here, now". OOOOOOOh great, he is asking me to dance in the middle of the cafe with his woman starring at me, am I going to get killed here??? My mind was racing -- yes or no, yes or no, yes or no...oh well, once in a life time experience, I am in Brazil, noone knows me here, so what the heck... I said YES. I nervously stood up, and started dancing... I bet a million pair of eyes were on me and him... Every second just seemed like an hour long. I finally calmed myself down. I lookded around, geeeeee, believe it or not, no one was paying ANY attention to us at all, his woman was smiling and zipping her coffee... my ego was so crushed... hahahaaaaaa... My conclusions of this story -- I was not HOT
, Brazilians are too HOT
.

One more dress story for today... I have to start charging my readers now... hahahaha
Brown Velet dress -- I have been debating whether telling this crappy story behind this beautiful dress or not. This one is not cute or funny like all others. Well, life can not always be so perfect, right?? So, I am sharing here... A heart broken story... A few yrs ago, I was dating this prominent young lawyer from Washington DC (yes, another pain in the ass lawyer!), IQ 182, (EQ -182 I think), Harvard grad (my husband too, I like intelligent man), the only BIG problem was he was not divorced. With his political background, I tried to be very understanding and protective, not only that, I was making more money than him at that time, so, I took care of his broken wallet too. I guess love is blind and unconditional. I took him to a fund raise event one evening. We came in as a couple, and I introuduced him to some of my business associates. Suddenly, I saw him walking away from me. He shaked hands with this Asian man, and started ignoring me... My 6 sense give me a chill on my spine core. I knew something was fishy. But I acted as a lady, I stayed calm, waited and waited and waited for an explaination... Finally, he "sneaked" back to me, and whispered "...I just met my wife's friend over there, lets keep low profile, dont make a big deal of us...", In another words, "Get lost Chynadoll". I was more sad than mad. I said OK. Then I said a few more HIs to my friends, and I left the party. That is the only dress I have only wore one time. It still sits beautifully in my closet, hehehe... Ending of this story -- I used my "ren chai liang kong" experience to have my 1st class husband right now. Never give up of what you want in life!!!
wow... i'm so impressed that you will keep it. also, it's so real to hear a 'bad experience' from such a positive person.
very lovely chynadol!
很羡慕你有了自己的事业后再做housewife. 不象我读书到一大把年纪,事业还没有, 突然有了孩子,才发现做housewife是唯一明智的选择.
Best!
