有啥悲催的？请问你真的认真看条款了还是人云亦云？写的清清楚楚只要是自己的earning满40个点中国公民就可以领，真是不明白你悲在哪里。当然如果你把自己国籍从中国变朝鲜或者古巴那就真的悲催了。

你对“outside the United States”的理解不对。这个不是说随便在境外呆多久都没关系，而指的是你出境不超过6个月，回美国呆至少一个月。这个跟保持绿卡的有效性要求一致。
问题是即使在境外呆不超过6个月，回来的时候入境官以某种理由拒绝你入境，那就没有办法满足这个条件了。后果自己想吧。

所以我的理解是，绿卡在境外不超过6个月，可以继续领，超过6个月，不回来呆至少一个月，就没了。

我只觉得风险有点大。现在趋势是中美都在抛弃中间地带的绿卡中国公民。等我们几十年后不知道对绿卡的条件怎么苛刻呢。想保持两边身份不容易。如果没了美国身份养老金有什么问题怎么回美国申诉处理呢？现在政策都这么模糊，扯皮的可能性极大。

ss可以领的 ssi有不能出国一个月以上的限制 我记得是指完整的一个月 比如你1月2号回国 2月27回美 这样就还算是一个月内 不过ssi是给低收入的 这版上应该没人需要吧 毕竟贫困线都五十万了

所以现在这个很难确定以后养老的策略啊 如果想回去买医疗保险 这边最后如果入籍了的话岂不是医保白交了？

同困惑中....我也觉得是40分满了无论是不是绿卡在不在美国都可以领。不过这个是可能随时变的，不知道几十年后退休了还是不是这个政策
