记得以前讨论过，结论是，要拿SS，中国公民必须有在美国的合法身份，绿卡出境超过半年就可能失去合法身份。

别造谣了好不好？SS官网都说了不用绿卡都能领，只要干满40个credits，你这个绿卡离境30天就停掉SS你给找个出处？

绿卡只能呆半年，超过就要有被取消的风险，除非转公民吧

SSI= supplemental security income，出境30天就会被撤 SS= social security，工作满40点就有，没有出国居住限制

是的。悲催的中国公民不在豁免名单里。到时候绿卡拒绝入境，以前工作的credit就都打水漂了。

问下， 这个ssn 是公民绿卡就能领， 还是只有工作过交了ss tax 到40点的的才能领？还有领的钱数和我现在交的有关系吗？ 如果现在都是交的上限和交的少的以后发的钱一样吗？ 谢谢

如果不是领取survivor benefit，是领自己挣得，40点是必须的。
