The review is awful. I got the "disconnected" comment simply because the case i wanted to cover others. It isn't a big deal but it is so fresh.
In fact, i rewrote the stuff for him yesterday and I worked until 1:15 am so we can test it again and push it into hotfix of this weekend.
No one appreciated my effort.

The crab house in hotelzone is not bad, and not every expensive.
There are a few restraunts in the Mall just opposite Westine (not our Westine). Some of them only open for dinner.
There is a restraunt on the second floor of the aquarium, you can eat and watching dolphins jumping/playing at the first floor.
Xiaofei just cannot have enough of it. It is a pity that Emma will not be with you in cancun.

cover要看你为了整个team争取到了时间还是拖延了时间..manager的perspective跟你是不一样的..如果你觉得你当时made the right decision就不要sign..argue..如果你承认你handle的不够好就improve..很多时候你付出的effort要給能决策的人看到并且能直接看到positive result..否则都是无用功..如果你argue你的point应该是你的team从中benefit了..而不是personal good will..你越强调personal good will这事对你越不利..跳出来看看big picture冷静的想想..不用着急sign也不用着急argue..

cite the wrong post, why do you want to cover others, you should have others to cover you...
My former boss is an EVP and my group was in her division. But from 1/1/11, my group was transfered to the new division and all the persons are reviewed in Jan.
In fact my review should be done in Apr this year if we stayed at the former division.
One of the hottest PM is let go. Everybody is shocked because he is known as a "golden boy" and is my former boss 's good friend.
My former boss was the second important person after CEO. But now many of her teams including our team are transfered into my current division.
I think she losses a lot. Suddenly she is not that important.
My friend in Washington just told me that she has no new project and all her current projects ends in this month.
At the same time, a senior PM is hired in NJ. It was a great shock to her since she has been in the company for over 15 years, from a trainner to a PM.
And she had thought she would be promoted to senior PM this year, but it seems her position is not stable now.
It is really sad to be a remote personel. We don't even hear rumors.

agree. and just don't give up to easily in your current position. you are a remote person so shouldn't be too important in a political fight.
