I applied a position in a big company and left them my office number. My office is a big one and I shared with several fellows. A lady called today and one of my colleage answered the phone asking who she is looking for. She said that someone applying the position in ***company. My colleage didn't get it and asked around. I went to take the phone and ask her again. She told me that she is from ...... . So I said that you must look for me. Then she asked my name and found it from a list (I guess). Then told me that she just confirmed to me that they got my application. I asked when they will make a decision and she said sometime next week. I was totally unpreparedand I did not know what else to say. So I said "thank you" and she hung out the phone.
I felt not comfortable since I thought I should show more my interest. I wrote down her number. Do you think I should call her to talk more or I will just wait untill next week? Any advice is appreciated
